Watlow Tubular Heating Elements
and Process Assemblies

Watlow Tubular Heating Elements and Process Assemblies are primarily used for direct immersion in water, oils, viscous materials, solvents, process solutions and molten materials as well as air and gases.

Additionally, round and flat surface tubular elements (Watrod & Firebar) can be used for surface heating. Watrod & Firebar heating elements may be purchased separately, or fabricated into process heating assemblies.

Process Heating Assemblies available:

Screw Plug Immersion Heaters - ideal for direct immersion heating of liquids, including all types of oils and heat transfer solutions.
Flange Immersion Heaters - designed for heating liquids and gases in tanks and pressure vessels, ideal for applications requiring higher kilowatts.
Circulation Heaters - combine heating elements, vessel, insulation, terminal enclosure, mounting brackets, inlet & outlet connections to make a complete heating assembly.
Booster Heaters - ideal for circulating applications requiring less kilowatts.
Engine Preheater - help maintain a desired minimum engine temperature.
Over-the-Side - slide easily into the tank from the top, ideal for heating water, oils, solvents, salts and acids.
Drum Heaters - designed for direct immersion in a standard 55 gallon steel drum
Duct Heaters - modular designed assemblies easily adapted to many non-pressurized, air-heating systems.

Both elements and assemblies are available from stock. They can be configured with a variety of watt and volt ratings, terminations, sheath materials and mounting options to satisfy the most demanding applications. If the stock products do not meet your applications needs, the optimum heater can be custom engineered.

WATROD Heating Elements

Available in single-ended or double-ended termination styles, the versatile and economical Watrod tubular heating element lends itself to virtually the entire range of immersion and air heating applications.

The Watrod, with its round cross-sectional geometry, is highly adaptable for bending--especially when bending is performed in the field. 36 standard bend formations by Watlow, allow forming the heating element to the application. Spirals, compound bends and multi-axis and multi-plane configurations are all possible with the Watrod.

Standard sheath materials on the Watrod include: copper, steel, 316 stainless steel, and Incoloy. Optional materials available on made-to-order units include: 304 stainless steel, Inconel®, Monel®, and titanium. With over 100 Watrod configurations in stock to choose from, you are sure to find what you need.
